I am more convinced than ever that the reason I was able to heal so quickly from 2 surgeries and chemotherapy was because I had been exercising regularly and maintaining a proper diet before I got sick. Throughout my chemotherapy, I was able to exercise to promote healing and the mental and emotional benefits of working out with my trainer greatly contributed to my wellbeing. My physicians all commented on how fast I healed! Don’t get me wrong, I had days where I felt really bad and weak. However, going to a place where I felt safe, the environment was clean, and my trainer working with me at what ever level I was able to manage at the time gave me encouragement. I am done with my treatments and feel like I am in the best shape ever because I stuck with a health program leading up to, during and post treatment.
